Nichiyu Forklift Trucks History

Some NICHIYU Forklift Truck Service & Workshop Manuals PDF with Wiring Diagrams & Error Codes DTC are above the page.

Two years after its creation, which occurred in 1937, the company released the first in Japan forklift truck, which worked with an electric battery, and in 1958, the first model, which was equipped with a retractable forklift.

The year 1959 was marked by the release of the first platter model loader in Japan, which was equipped with a retractable mast in order to move cargo from a freight car to the platform, and after 6 years, a variation was made of this model, which had such quality as explosion protection.

1970 entered the history of the company due to the fact that it established itself as the first Japanese manufacturer of automated forklifts, working without a driver and called Mujincar.

In the same year, the company produces the first batch of forklifts in the whole world, a feature of which is the relay-free control.

A year later, at the international exhibition of loading equipment, NYK proudly presented its creations - a brushless motor equipped with a two-phase control, as well as the world's first forklift truck that is automatically controlled.

The year 1980 became famous for the fact that the company began exporting forklifts to European countries, and soon to America.

It is worth noting that after a few years, due to the increased requirements for technology, sales in the territory of America disappeared, and NYK decided to entrust its export to the Mitsubishi sales network.

But even this joint work began to stall over time, after in 1994, Mitsubishi itself began to engage in the production of electric forklift trucks.

Nowadays, the sales process of NYK equipment abroad takes place with the help of independent trading partners. And although the equipment of this brand is not so well known abroad, at home, according to experts, it occupies more than 40% in the market of electric forklifts.

Today, the company has several factories - in the cities of Kyoto and Shiga, Japan.
