Rocla Lift Truck History

Some ROCLA Fork Lifts Tech Manuals PDF are above the page.

Rocla has been operating in the global market for more than 75 years.

The Finnish manufacturer has come a long way from a small family-owned company to the design center of the global concern Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe (MCFE).

In 1942 the company was engaged in the production of various products from metal pipes. In the first half of the 20th century, the founder of the company developed an unparalleled mechanism, which is an ordinary trolley that could lift loads to a small height with the help of hydraulics.

The demand for the “prototype” of modern lifting and transport equipment has affected the scope of the company.

And in the 50s of the last century, Rocla concentrated its efforts on the production of lifting and transport equipment, in particular, on the production of hydraulic trucks.

A forklift truck for pallets and hydraulic stackers was released in the same period.

Rocla can rightfully be considered a pioneer in the production of warehouse equipment using electricity as a power source for specialized equipment.

In 1975, Rocla began to produce a stacker with a retractable mast. This event was also a landmark, because it allowed products to enter the international market of warehouse equipment.

Another significant milestone in the development of production - the release in 1980 under the brand Rocla conveyors with automatic control - Rocla AGV robot cars.

For more than 30 years, the company has maintained leadership in this area.

In 2008, the merger with the global concern Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift Europe took place. In the model lineup, Catlifttrucks forklifts from 1.0 to 15 tons appeared.

The success of the Research and Development Department gave the Finnish company the status of the only MCFE concern design center in Europe.
